The Nayak Research Group in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at UMKC is looking for a full-time Post-Doctoral Research Fellow (Job Opening ID 55893) and a Senior Research Scientist (Job Opening ID 55891). The successful candidates will participate in research investigating the molecular mechanisms that underpin placental development, maternal-fetal immunology, fetal brain development, and vascular complications related to pregnancy disorders. These positions provide an opportunity to join a dynamic and collaborative research environment supported by state-of-the-art facilities at UMKC and its partner institutes in the Kansas City area.
Applicants must possess a PhD or an equivalent degree and have experience in relevant medical and/or biological research. Candidates for the Senior Research Scientist position should have at least two years of postdoctoral experience in reproductive biology and/or pregnancy-related research.
Preferred qualifications include expertise in one or more of the following areas: placental biology, tissue-specific gene targeting, immunobiology of pregnancy and graft-versus-host disease, neurodevelopmental biology, tumor immunology, and animal models of pregnancy-related diseases.
